Fennel Seeds

Fennel is a traditional and commonly used herb with a long history of use as a medicine. In India, it is generally known as Saunf. Fennel is a multi-purpose garden plant and its use goes far beyond the kitchen. Fennel seeds have been used as a remedy for problems related to digestive, endocrine, reproductive and respiratory systems. Fennel seeds are used as a flavoring spice in many recipes such as soups, bread, curries, etc. In India, it is a popular mouth freshener taken after meals and also as a digestive aid.
